Calcium Carbonate
Calcium carbonate in rigid PVC pipe compounds serves multiple functions. As a filler, it reduces compound cost and improves processing characteristics. At moderate loadings (10–20 phr), it increases pipe stiffness (ring stiffness) and impact strength, enabling pipes to withstand soil loads and impact during installation.
Raviraj Minerals supplies dry, free-flowing CaCO₃ powder with consistent particle size (typically d97 < 25 µm for pipe grades), high brightness (>96%), and very low moisture content (<0.1%) to ensure uniform dispersion and trouble-free extrusion.
